M.GlassPROJECTGLASS PACKAGING

Quality and documentation

We select packaging based on its technical specifications, intended use and the requirements of your product.

An informed choice

Quality starts with the right fit.

The right packaging combines a suitable capacity, the appropriate type of glass and a compatible closure. The appearance of a bottle or its thread designation alone is not enough to assess the complete assembly. Dimensions, sealing method, applicator type and filling and usage conditions also matter.

Catalogue specifications help you compare the available options and make an initial selection. The final choice should take account of the contents and your process requirements. Compatibility with a particular formulation and performance under the intended conditions must be assessed for each application.

What should you check?

  • Nominal and brimful capacity: these are different measurements. Allow for the required headspace when determining the fill volume.
  • Dimensions and tolerances: height, diameter and neck geometry affect closure fit, labelling and filling-line operation.
  • Glass type and colour: the choice should reflect the needs of the contents; colour alone does not establish a particular level of protection.
  • Closure and applicator: check component compatibility, seal integrity and the intended dispensing method.
Technical specifications

Clear product documentation.

Product pages show the available specifications and technical drawings. Dimensions help you assess the size of the packaging and compare options, while packing information supports purchasing and supply planning.

Catalogue drawings illustrate the product. If your project requires detailed technical clarification, please provide the relevant catalogue reference and specify the information you need. This allows us to discuss the correct packaging variant.

We clarify requirements before you order.

If you need specifications, declarations or batch-related documents, please include these requirements in your enquiry. We confirm the available documentation for the selected product and application.

Before introducing packaging into production, test the complete assembly under conditions representative of its intended use, from filling and closing through to storage and application. Trials help you assess the system as a whole rather than its individual components.

Frequently asked questions

Does every cap fit every bottle?

No. The neck finish must match, and the specific bottle and closure combination needs to be checked. Sealing and application requirements also matter. Send us the product references and we will help you narrow down the options.

Where can I find a technical drawing?

Where available, technical drawings appear under “Packing and documentation” on the product page and can be opened as PDFs. If you need an additional dimension or an explanation of a drawing symbol, contact us with the catalogue reference.

Is the documentation the same for every product?

The available documentation depends on the product and supplier. Please specify the documents and application requirements you need when submitting your enquiry so that we can confirm availability.

What is the difference between nominal and brimful capacity?

Nominal capacity is the stated volume of the container. Brimful capacity is the volume when the container is filled to the rim. Use the specifications of the particular container when determining your fill volume.
